Privacy policy
What this site stores, and what it does not.
Who we are
BTC21 Academy runs this website at btc21.academy. This policy explains what the site does with information. It takes effect on 11 October 2026. Last updated 12 October 2026.
What the site is
The academy is a static site. The pages are files served to your browser. There is no account, no signup, and no way to pay. We do not ask for your name, your email address, or a wallet.
Guide progress on your device
If you tick a step in a guide, the browser saves that tick in its own local storage. The saved item is named btc21.academy.guide followed by the guide. It records which steps you marked done, and any checklist boxes on that guide. It stays on that device. It is not sent to us. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes it.
On a concept or a guide, Share / copy link writes the page address to your clipboard when you ask it to. That copy stays on your device.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. When your browser requests a page, the host can keep a server log of that request. A log of this kind usually includes the page address, the time, your IP address, and the browser you used. Vercel keeps those logs to run and protect the service.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Both are cookie-free. They collect anonymous, aggregated data: pages viewed, the referrer, country, device and browser type, and performance metrics. They do not track you as an individual across other sites. Vercel processes this data.
These pages do not set cookies. There is no account. There is no advertising tag. Guide progress stays in local storage on your device, as described above, and is not sent with this analytics.
Links to other sites
Play and Open leave the academy. Those destinations are separate sites:
Mempool Rush at mempoolrush.btc21.academy. Keep Your Keys at keepyourkeys.btc21.academy. BitcoinHUD at bitcoinhud.com.
Once you leave btc21.academy, this policy no longer applies. Those sites have their own practices.
Affiliate and partner links
The site may later include affiliate or partner links. Any such link will be clearly labelled.
